Twin Kegs Trivia Night

For those of you who haven't yet darkened the door of the "International(ly) Famous Twin Kegs on Thompson Ln across from Krispy Kreme, you are MISSING OUT! I've been in there now a few times with SNP-eoples and it's been a good time. They've got fun things going on most nights of the week like karaoke, poker, ladies' night, and Wednesday night (tonight) is Trivia Night.

That's right, tonight is Trivia Night, and there are a few of us going already. So, grab some friends and head down there sometime after 7...or before 7...what the heck?!?

If you get the chance, you should definitely try the "Bad Burger," as it was voted Nashville's Best Burger in the Tennessean in 2008. I've tried it and it definitely holds up. If you really think you're tough, maybe you can even try the "BIG Bad Burger." A 12oz thing of beauty for sure...I've tried it as well, and it's AMAZING!.

If you're in for tonight, try to drop a comment below so others know they won't be the only ones there. I'll start - see you guys there!

Flatrock Art Project Survey

Some of you met TC Weber (President: Flatrock Heritage Foundation) at our last meeting.

During the course of our meeting we briefly brought up the topic of art projects here in Flatrock. Well, it just so happens that TC and the FHF are approaching some grant money for that specific reason and he's asked us to be involved.

These are little "thought nuggets" from the conversation we had:

We spoke briefly about a sign/mural on the 100 Oaks side of the Railroad tunnel/bridge on Thompson Lane...something to let people know they're entering Flatrock. Examples: "Welcome to Flatrock," a diversity mural, a statue of Brenda Lee. It doesn't sound like they're sold on a particular location, a type of art, or its message, so he asked me to poll the SNP-nut gallery.

Things to keep in mind:
  • We want it somewhere people will SEE it.
  • We want it to look good.
  • Altering landscapes to accommodate something like this costs money too.
  • Gateway locale, or some sort of central locale?
  • This doesn't have to be the only project...maybe we can split resources & hit two places at once, or raise more money again later for another project.

Please take 5 minutes (if that) to fill out this survey so we can be heard, or I'll talk them into putting a 60-foot statue of Lord Voldemort in the middle of Nolensville Rd. & Thompson Ln.

Thanks everybody!

Here we go
